Hey! I'm Sarah. I grew up outside of Boston, where I first learned about healthy food through my grandmothers, one in Dover, New Hampshire and the other in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts. I became passionate about environmental issues and coinciding food issues from a very young age, and that has guided me through my life so far. I am passionate about systems and how we can make them work better for us, most importantly the food and healthcare systems. I care a lot about inclusivity and fairness, and I hope to continue fighting for them for the rest of my life. I went to Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin to study International Relations and Environmental Studies and also to play the harp in the Conservatory of Music. In college, I interned at Practice Greenhealth in Fairfax, Virginia; at the Post Landfill Action Network (PLAN) in Dover, New Hampshire; at SWaCH Cooperative in Pune, India; at Health Care Without Harm - Europe in Brussels, Belgium, and at Kalu Yala in Tres Brazos Valley outside Panama City, Panama. All of these focused on making a more environmentally friendly, equitable, and healthy society. I love adventuring, activism, zero-waste living, writing, and always thinking outside the box.
